Some interesting tidbits making the rounds:
  • A sportswriter from the U.K. seems to understand contemporary American culture quite well. (By the way, "hack" is Brit-speak for a reporter and, as I understand it, is not entirely pejorative--I've seen reporters refer to themselves as hacks.)
  • Now that we've brought women's liberation to Afghanistan, perhaps we could look into the situation prevailing with a key War on Terror ally.
  • Another right-wing state attorney general abuses the powers of his office to snoop into private medical records regarding sex and reproductive health.
  • You know those form contracts with the small print in which you agree to go to a corporation's home state to sue if they screw you over? Another state appeals court finds these "agreements" troubling.
