Demagogue

Late last week, a report by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality found that more than 15 million Americans were uninsured for four years running. Only a day or so before this report was released, two policy wonks appeared on CNBC to debate the issue of health care coverage and costs. One of them was Michael Tanner of the Cato Institute.

Tanner told CNBC viewers that policymakers should stop "obsessing" over universal coverage. That's easy for Tanner to say. What do you want to bet his employer provides affordable health
