Demagogue

I swear I'm not obsessed by the Terri Schiavo case. After all, I very sincerely respect the view that it is immoral to deny nutrition and hydration in a case like this. What's getting under my skin is the procedural nonsense that has converted a private tragedy into a public farce.

One thing I can say for sure is that I definitely do not regard the physical body of a person in a persistent vegetative state as just another piece of matter with no claim to humanity or dignity. Because if a bunch of Congressmen ever tried to do this to my wife, I'd have to be restrained before I throttled every one of them.
