1) Restrict access to abortion via 24-hour waiting periods and parental consent laws, premit pharmacists to refuse to dispense medicene that they don't personally agree with;
2) cut both family planning services and medicare spending for poor people who have already-been-born children.
Two years ago, the legislature eliminated the state's family planning program that provided 30,000 women with access to birth control and regular health screenings. [CEO of Planned Parenthood of St. Louis Paula] Gianino said the state also sliced in half the amount of time a new mother is eligible for Medicaid benefits from 24 months after giving birth to 12 months.This is so illogical that it's giving me a headache.
