The W.H. Press Gets a Snow Job

I'll buy the fact that President Bush receives a lot more reports and briefings on what is happening in Iraq than do members of the White House press corps. Perhaps that's what Tony Snow really meant to say yesterday when he told the press that Bush "knows more than anybody in this room about what’s going on there."

Unfortunately, what Bush "knows" would appear to be far detached from reality. How else does Snow explain why Bush said of Iraq only nine weeks ago: "Absolutely, we're winning"?

Courtesy of Think Progress, here is a transcript and a video of Snow's remarks from yesterday.
