The Asian Part of the Equation

When most Americans hear the term "illegal immigrants," they imagine people who arrived from Mexico or other countries farther south. But building a super-tall wall along the Rio Grande won't do much to keep out the Chinese. From Harper's Index:
Percentage change since 1991 in the average fee charged by smugglers of illegal Chinese immigrants into the U.S.: +100%

Number of Chinese illegals who have been caught by the United States but China has so far refused to take back: 39,000
It makes me wonder where the hell these 39,000 Chinese are living and sleeping right now.
