The Cost of Higher Ed Just Got a Little Higher

Since 2001 anyone paying for higher education has received a tuition tax deduction up to $4,000 a year. But Bush's new tax cut plan took care of that, it is no more. Considering the rate in which tuition is skyrocketing this seems like a *great* time to make it that much harder to afford higher education. Thanks Mr. President!

I do have a sincere question though, doesn't failing to renew this provision qualify as a tax hike on people paying for tuition?
