Apparently in the eyes of the GOP that makes DeLay the perfect candidate to sit on the one of the most powerful committees in congress-- the Appropriations Committee. Yes, Tom DeLay is going to be in charge of deciding who gets their hands on the money and how much.
As if that weren't enough, guess who he's replacing?
None other than "Duke" Cunningham. Cunningham recently stepped down and is scheduled to be sentenced sometime this month-- he could get as many as 10 years-- for pleading guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to commit bribery, mail fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion.
Hopefully the WBA will follow in Cunningham's footsteps.
