Powerbrokers on Capitol Hill who aren't already feeling nervous over Jack Abramoff's plea bargain deal may have another reason to feel nervous.

Former U.S. Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-Calif.) reportedly wore a listening device as part of a cooperation agreement with federal prosecutors. Whether the electronic monitoring ensnared other members of Congress or lobbyists remains to be seen.

Time (magazine) said it is unclear who might have been targeted for electronic monitoring by Cunningham but that the topic "is the source of furious — and nervous — speculation by congressional Republicans."

Cunningham pleaded guilty in November to accepting bribes.
