A Frightening Thought: Miers Actually Believes This

I hadn't seen this David Frum quote before (maybe you have), but it's enough reason by itself to seriously question Harriet Miers' judgment. From the current issue of New Yorker:
David Frum, Bush’s “axis of evil” ex-speechwriter, didn’t bother to hide his scorn (for Miers' nomination).

“In the White House that hero worshipped the President, Miers was distinguished by the intensity of her zeal,” he wrote. “She once told me that the President was the most brilliant man she had ever met.”
I guess I'd expect a member of the White House staff to make such a remark if she were interviewed by a newspaper or magazine, but the fact that she once told Frum this suggests she may actually believe it.
