Quote of the Day

Is a twofer from the "Christian Libertarian" named Vox Day at WorldNetDaily, via Pandagon. From a column titled "Why Women's Rights Are Wrong."
In fact, I very much like women and wish them well, which is precisely why I consider women's rights to be a disease that should be eradicated.
and
The women of America would do well to consider whether their much-cherished gains of the right to vote, work, murder and freely fornicate are worth destroying marriage, children, civilized Western society and little girls.
Apparently he spent much of his youth getting beaten up by girls. All this coming form a man named Vox Day who looks like an escapee from a Trekkie convention. I do wish someone who knows him would recommend him for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

I'm not going to even attempt to deconstruct a single syllable that he wrote. Seriously, it's one thing to criticize feminism, it's another to question whether women should have the same basic, fundamental freedoms as men. If I wasn't already familiar with the work of Vox Day I'd think he is a character ripped from the pages of The Onion. For pete's sake, he lists that he's a member of both Mensa and Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America on his blog. He's just. too. funny.
