Demagogue

Now, this is quite a dilemma for conservative Christians. There's only so much praying a person can do in the average day. So on whom do their focus their prayers?

Do they respond to this request for prayers to protect the beleaguered "Christian statesman" by the name of Tom DeLay?

Or do they divert their attention to the newly elected pope, Benedict XVI, who has asked for the world's prayers?

The competing need for prayer among conservatives seems to be growing every hour. After yesterday's Senate hearing, even John Bolton could use a Hail Mary or two.
