Demagogue

Last evening I was spending some valuable drinking time with some valuable drinking bloggers and one of them raised an interesting question, just what *are* we going to do to celebrate when Tom DeLay goes down? After all, we at demagogue affectionately refer to him as WBA,* as we've adopted him as one of our very favorite demagogue pets.

However, after reading this I nearly peed my pants.

Organizations headed by two of the best-known figures in conservative political circles, Ralph Reed and Grover Norquist, have been subpoenaed by the Senate Indian Affairs Committee in its long-running probe of GOP lobbyist Jack Abramoff, the paid-restricted Roll Call reveals Thursday.

Oh, baby. Talk about a right-wing-induced train wreck. I couldn't help but think that the only celebration worthy of these nasty little men getting their comeuppance-- because of Tom DeLay-- is a three-day drunken orgy.

Now if only someone would make the word "subpoenaed" turn into "indicted" or "convicted." Anyone have a genie in a bottle with claustraphobia?
