Sure To Be a Hit on the Other Side of the Atlantic

With statements like these, John R. Bolton, Bush's nominee as the new U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is perhaps the most unlikely choice to rebuild relations with our European allies:
"... the Europeans can be sure that America's days as a well-bred doormat for EU political and military protections are coming to an end."

"There is no such thing as the United Nations. There is an international community that can be led by the only real power left in the world, and that is the United States, when it suits our interests and when we can get others to go along.”
This website summed it up best: "Calling John Bolton a 'diplomat' is bit like calling Jack the Ripper a surgeon ..."
