Approved Language for Journalists

I’ve been amused (remember the Elvis Costello principle) by the administration’s silly charges that journalists are showing “bias” or “slant” by using the P-word when describing the President’s social security ideas.

I wonder what the conservative spin police would make of this headline: Court Won’t Intervene to Save Schiavo. Unlike “privatization,” which was the administration’s own description of the concept that it was proposing, I don’t think Michael Schiavo or the increasingly large number of judges who have ruled in his favor have described the dispute as being about whether to “save” Terri Schiavo.
