Demagogue

Now this is the kind of talk I like to hear from a man who is both a medical doctor and the Senate majority leader as well as a potential 2008 presidential candidate-- oh, and he used to adopt kittens from local shelters so he could torture* and kill them.

"I can play hardball as well as anybody," [Frist] said, unprompted, at the end of a recent interview. "That's what I did, cut people's hearts out. On the other hand, I do it to cure them, to heal them, to make them better."

*He may say they were "medical experiments," but performing unauthorized experiments that resulted in the deaths of otherwise healthy animals in the privacy of his own home does not make them "medical." If anyone else did it we'd call it torturing them to death.
