Demagogue

Whining by conservatives that they couldn't say anything that's "not PC" got really old really fast. That hasn't stopped them from going on about it ad nauseam for 20 years. So I'm hoping that at least a few of them will read the riot act to the Republican National Committee, which is once again threatening dissenters with legal action.

Remember when the RNC went after Rock the Vote during the campaign? They're at it again: Josh Marshall reports that they're threatening television stations for accepting paid advertising from MoveOn.org, basically because MoveOn doesn't use RNC-approved spin. Apparently, RNC is now the Ministry of Truth, and anything they don't like is decreed "false and malicious."

I'd like to know how the RNC's stance jibes with Dubya's refusal to condemn the Swift Boat Liars.
