Any number of people have pointed out how deceitful this claim is, for a number of reasons. The two biggest are: (1) It's not true; lots of people didn't think there was decent evidence of WMD programs; and (2) Most other people, even if they thought Saddam had programs, were telling us that we should not start a war until the inspectors could find out for sure.
I don't know that these points have sunk in at all; the administration's false spin may be winning the day. So here's another attempt in the spirit of pictures being worth 1000 words.
